The Pneumatic Technician plays a key role in maintaining high-quality standards while complying with GAT processes. This position is responsible for the repair/overhaul of pneumatic/electrically operated aircraft components.

Qualifications:
1 – 2 years min. of Aircraft Pneumatics Components Maintenance experience or equivalent Understanding of and abilities in calibrating/ troubleshooting pneumatic components
Capable and comfortable at assimilating new or different pneumatic (and other accessories) capabilities Capable and comfortable using OEM Schematics, Technical Instructions/Diagrams, Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), and other documents such as Reliability Work Scopes, Best Practices, and Customer EO’S Willingness to assist engineering development within related technologies, as required Possess knowledge of AC / DC
Is thoroughly familiar with the applicable CFRs and with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of the article on which maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations are being performed.
Is proficient in using various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids appropriate for the articles being inspected and approved for service return.

Engineer, MRO Support

The Engineer of MRO Support will play a vital role in supporting Avelo’s heavy maintenance MRO visits and Ops support for line maintenance departments to ensure safety, compliance, aircraft availability and airworthiness for our Crew and Customers.

Responsibilities:

— Provide engineering support for heavy maintenance visits (primary) and line (secondary) Ops support for line maintenance for assigned areas of responsibility.
— Respond to requests for engineering support from MRO team to obtain or develop approved engineering solutions when that data is not in the AMM, SRM, or other FAA approved documents.
— Provide engineering support for MRO team and Line Maintenance to include minor repair authorizations, parts and materials substitutions, repairs, and reports.
— Work with Boeing OEM or Designated Engineering Representative (DER) for approval of major repairs and modifications and for conformity and compliance with applicable FARs.
— Review Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins for applicability as required to support MRO Avelo aircraft visits: develop Engineering Orders to accomplish modifications in response to ADs, Service Bulletins, SILs, etc.
— Evaluate and determine disposition of BER parts.
— Maintains demand history and communicates priority rankings of all requests aligning with the MRO bay plan to support target check completion date.
— Conduct research and data collection to aid for development of Fleet Campaign Directives, Engineering Authorizations, Engineering Orders, Engineering specifications and other engineering documents.
— Review and revise past maintenance support and engineering specifications to ensure airline remains current and within regulations.
— Maintain familiarization with the training requirements necessary as defined in the GMM and ensure training is current prior to performing the functions and tasks of the position.
— Minimize costs and aircraft out-of-service time relative to area of responsibility.
— Must be able to work independently with little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments.

Requirements:
4-year degree in Engineering or equivalent working experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a 121-airline environment in a Technical Services/Engineering department or comparable maintenance experience.
Must be familiar with and general knowledge of Time Controlled Parts, Reliability Programs, FARs, Manufacturers Documentation to include but not limited to: Maintenance Manuals, IPC’s, Troubleshooting Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, Aircraft Drawings and CMM’s, SB’s, STC’s, AD’s and PMA parts.
Must have excellent communication skills, and moderate computer and technical writing skills.
Must be willing and able to work extended hours and weekends on occasion as required by management for project completion.
